The calculation runs in your browser: the names are not stored or sent to us, and the same two names always give the same result. This is a game, not a measure of a real relationship. This page is free and needs no registration.
Both names are normalised the same way first: spaces are collapsed, capitalisation is normalised, curly apostrophes and long dashes are standardised, and accents on Latin letters are removed, so José and Jose count as the same name. The pair is then put into a canonical order, which is why swapping the two fields never changes the answer. Four factors are measured.
Shared letters has the most weight at 40 percent: it compares how many letters the two names genuinely have in common against the total pool of letters between them. First-letter closeness adds 25 percent, based on the distance between the two initials in their alphabet. Vowel balance adds 20 percent, comparing the proportion of vowels in each name.
Length ratio adds the final 15 percent, dividing the shorter name by the longer one. Each factor is rounded before it enters the sum; the four weighted parts are added, and the total is rounded once more into a whole number between 0 and 100. There is no hidden term and no random element.
The relationship status you choose changes only the wording below the score, never the number.
Indian names are where name-based calculators often misbehave, so the handling here is worth spelling out. The tool accepts Latin, Cyrillic and Devanagari. Each field must use one writing system, but the two fields may use different ones: Priya and Иван is a valid pair.
Letters are compared as grapheme clusters — the units readers perceive as single characters — so क्षि counts as one letter, not as three pieces. That is the usual reason a calculator gives a Devanagari name a strange length or score. Transliteration is not attempted.
Priya and प्रिया are different sequences of letters, so they give different results; the calculator does not guess that they are the same name. Names in writing systems outside those three are not scored, and the form asks you to enter each name in one of the supported scripts. Each name field accepts up to 64 grapheme clusters.
Each of these tools lives on its own page. The inputs listed are what you will find there, not here. Love language test: 10 statements about how you like affection, answered by frequency, with one of five love languages as the result.

It is accurate in the arithmetic sense: the score follows the published formula exactly, so the same names give the same number every time. It is not a measure of a real relationship. The names are compared by spelling, and spelling has nothing to do with whether two people get on. Treat the score as a game, not as advice.
No. The calculation runs in your browser, so the names are not sent to us. They are not saved on your device and are not added to a shareable URL. The only output is the result and, if you choose, a shareable image that contains the names.
Yes. Write both names out, count the shared letters against the total pool, compare the initials, the vowel proportions, and the two lengths. Weight those four results by 40, 25, 20 and 15 percent, round each before adding, and round the total. You will get the same number this page shows.
Because the calculation is fixed arithmetic on the two names. There is no random element and no hidden term, and the relationship status does not change the number. Enter the same pair in a month or a year, and the result is identical.
Start with the question you actually have. If you want a percentage for two names, use the form on this page. If you have two birth dates, the birthday compatibility or zodiac match tools fit. If you want a category like FLAMES or a love language, those tools have their own pages and ask for their own inputs.
Two names, ten seconds, and the whole formula in the open.
